Recreational Services Coordinator

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Leisure Services Officer Lifeguard to join our team at Southern Grampians Shire Council.

**Salary:** $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

**Job Description:

The Leisure Services Officer Lifeguard is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safety of pool patrons. This includes supervising, cleaning, and operating swimming pools, as well as providing first aid and rescue services when required.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Supervise and maintain the cleanliness of swimming pools
• Provide first aid and rescue services as needed
• Develop and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and near-miss events
• Communicate effectively with pool patrons and staff members

**Requirements:**

• Diploma or Certificate in Aquatics or related field
• Current lifeguard certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
