About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Merchandise Planner to join our team at Global Retail Brands, a leading specialty kitchenware and homewares retailer. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our merchandise strategy through forecasting, analyzing categories and articles within our kitchenware portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical support for seasonal strategic reviews to ensure we have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time.
  • Develop department budgets in SSP (Strategic Sales Plan) to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Determine via analytical review recommendations for ranging that supports store grading and maximizes gross profit.
  • Determine purchase plans within the buying plan (China order file) to support the SSP and drive sales growth.
  • Manage in-season trade (sales and GP) to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Maximize gross profit through project management and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
  • You have a sound understanding of the retail industry and possess expert computer skills, particularly in Excel.
  • You have a working knowledge of merchandise systems, preferably Pronto, and superior numeracy, statistical, and probability knowledge.
  • You have planning and demand forecasting experience, with a proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.
