We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Director to lead our EHS function for rail projects at Siemens Mobility Australia and New Zealand. As part of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective EHS management systems, policies, and procedures.

This role requires a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in high-risk construction environments within the rail industry. Your expertise in applying rail industry worker and rail safety principles will be invaluable in ensuring compliance with local legal requirements and our EHS Policy Framework.

As an exceptional leader, you will have strong people management skills, with a process-oriented approach. You will be able to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and develop and implement budgets, including oversight of workers' insurance portfolios.

Your extensive knowledge of accreditation processes, such as ISO, RSO, and TAO, will enable you to ensure seamless integration of our EHS functions into our business operations. Additionally, your certification with the Australian Institute of Health and Safety or relevant certifications like Certified Safety Professional (CSP) would be advantageous.

In this critical role, you will work closely with various stakeholders, including line managers, employees, and regulatory bodies. You will investigate and analyze incidents, report results, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Furthermore, you will oversee delivery of the business EHS audit and ISO certification schedule, monitor implementation of EHS requirements and plans, and provide governance and support to our manufacturing, maintenance, and project site management.

Your salary will be approximately $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on your qualifications and experience.
