About the Role

Southern Cross Care is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality care to our residents.

As a Physiotherapist, you will work collaboratively with other health professionals to optimize the well-being, mobility, pain management, and recovery of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level physiotherapy diagnostic and treatment skills aligned to the needs and wants of our residents.
  • Contribute positively to multi-disciplinary care planning for our residents.
  • Participate in face-to-face handover with nursing staff to improve communication about resident needs and therapy.
  • Case conferencing and problem-solving of complex care needs.
  • Support residents on proactive, evidence-based reablement pathways and identify deviation from this pathway early.
  • Help support and mentor students on placements as well as proactively engage in ongoing professional development and learning to improve your capacity to optimize resident well-being outcomes.

About You

We are looking for a qualified Physiotherapist with a Bachelor or Master degree in Physiotherapy, including current registration with AHPRA.

Key skills and experience include knowledge of residential aged care practice, experience working from a Healthy Ageing approach, demonstrated commitment to meeting the needs of both internal and external clients, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
