At Qantas Airways Limited, we are seeking an exceptional Senior Analyst Business Innovation and Support to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving business innovation and support across our organization.

 

Job Description:

As a Senior Analyst Business Innovation and Support, you will be the key driver of business innovation and support initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective maintenance, development, and evolution of Qantas flight planning systems and its associated components
  • Provide specialist domain knowledge and work closely with vendors and stakeholders to ensure ongoing and continuous support of the Flight Planning System
  • Identify events leading to system failures, rectify and report such events as required to support and ensure continuous availability of the Constellation Flight Planning system

 

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the aviation domain, preferably as a Commercial Pilot, Flight Dispatcher or Air Traffic Controller
  • Comprehensive understanding of flight planning systems and their various components, including but not limited to navigation, weather integration, fuel optimization, and air traffic control coordination
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., ICAO, CASA) and experience integrating live data sources—such as weather information, NOTAMs, and airspace restrictions—into flight planning workflows
  • Hands-on experience working with industry-leading vendors or platforms in the areas of Aviation Information Management (AIM), Flight Planning Applications, or Flight Optimization Systems
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify, address, and lead the resolution of complex strategic challenges

 

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
