Chisholm Institute of TAFE is seeking an experienced and student-focused Electrical Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our Electrical business area, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering education practices that meet all regulatory standards and training packages
- Ensuring teaching materials and resources are up-to-date and meet all requirements
- Establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment that encourages students to take responsibility for their own learning
- Adapting learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, and resources
- Undertaking administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taught
- Assisting in the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs
- Maintaining a respectful and safe environment free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment
Requirements for the role include:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or qualifications that meet the Standards for RTOs 2015
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Electrical or relevant discipline
- Registration with relevant professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline
- A record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver
- A record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge
