Fitness Center Coordinator

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Fitness Center Clerk to join our team at Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait. As a key member of our Installation Support Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining an integrated fitness and sports program, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with and encourage participation in fitness programs and events, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and healthy environment, adhering to strict safety and security protocols.
- Perform custodial duties, ensuring equipment and floors in all fitness areas are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained.
- Ensure fitness equipment is properly stored and facilities are kept neat and orderly, promoting a professional and welcoming space.
- Participate in and conduct intramural sports leagues, clubs, and events, including setup and teardown, to promote teamwork and camaraderie.
- Coordinate with volunteers at various events, leveraging their skills and enthusiasm to enhance our programs.
- Support documentation and reporting requirements, adhering to international, US, and Air Force standards and criteria.
- Minimum one year of experience in comparable recreation and fitness programs, preferably on a US military installation with a similar mission and scope.
- American Red Cross CPR Certificate, Standard First Aid certificate, and Automated External Defibrillator Certificate.
- Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
- US Citizenship, valid US or local driver's license, and US passport.
- Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for deployment duration.
- Country visa (as required) and SECRET US Government Clearance.
This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere environment, including heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing, and working outdoors.
