Job Opportunity: Payroll Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for executing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay runs accurately and on time, every time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll transactions, including off-cycle pay runs
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the roles, awards, and pay complexities within the Business Unit
  • Conduct analysis and audit of all payrolls to ensure legislative and award compliance
  • Participate in system upgrade projects and continually improve payroll processes
  • Liaise with HR on employee appointments, terminations, remuneration, and other relevant matters
  • Perform a variety of other ad hoc payroll duties as required
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Payroll Officer in a medium to large-sized organization
  • Strong experience in EA/Modern Award interpretation
  • Experience with medium-sized payroll and time and attendance systems like Ceridian (Preceda) and Kronos
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Intermediate Excel and Outlook experience
  • Strong customer service skills
