Job Title:

Warehouse Assistant/Delivery Offsider

About the Role:

This casual position is available for individuals with a strong work ethic, manual labour skills and ability to lift heavy loads. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving mattresses and bedroom furniture, assembling items in customer's houses, picking and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks, as well as maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and showroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Heavy lifting and moving of mattresses and bedroom furniture
  • Assembling items in customer's houses
  • Picking and packing orders
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and showroom environment
Requirements:
  • Necessary fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks with awkward and heavy loads
  • Enjoy manual labour and have a can-do attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, customer service and communication skills
  • A positive attitude, presentable and like helping customers
  • Must be an enthusiastic team player and can contribute to a small team environment
  • Some weekend work may be required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous warehouse experience (preferably in the bedding or furniture industry)
  • Manual Drivers licence (preferred)
