The role requires the successful candidate to conduct routine examinations, fault finding, interrogation, and diagnostic testing on LRV sub-systems. They will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing tram equipment installed on Light Rail Vehicles, following established safety procedures and utilizing safety equipment as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine examinations, fault finding, interrogation, and diagnostic testing on LRV sub-systems.
  • Maintaining and repairing tram equipment installed on Light Rail Vehicles.
  • Following established safety procedures and utilizing safety equipment as required.
  • Reporting on activities, problems found, and measures taken.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and understanding as well as implementing quality control measures.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).
  • Fault finding ability with demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in maintenance activities in a similar environment, with railway industry experience an advantage but not essential.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
