We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Environmental Advisor. As a leader in sustainable distributed energy, we are committed to transitioning the world to a clean energy future.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is dedicated to environmental excellence and wants to lead the way in making a difference. You will be responsible for guiding sustainability, ensuring compliance, and influencing key decisions across our major projects.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable environmental legislation, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Conducting audits and facilitating risk assessments to identify environmental risks and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
  • Providing expert advice, guidance, training and educational awareness to senior leadership, project managers, and contractors on environmental matters.
  • Developing and maintaining project or site-specific environmental risk management plans and procedures.
  • Providing SME input in investigation of environmental incidents to determine root causes and ensure lessons learned are implemented.
  • Assisting in preparing documentation for approvals and environmental licensing as required, and preparing environmental reports, audits, and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engaging with local communities and stakeholders to support environmental initiatives.
  • Developing and leading continuous improvement initiatives of our Environmental Management Systems.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing environmental management plans and improvement plans across multiple sites.
  • Effective communication skills with proven stakeholder engagement across all levels.
  • An in-depth understanding of environmental legislation and statutory requirements (WA – required; Australia-wide – desirable).
  • Knowledge of environmental management practices and regulations specific to the energy and resources industry.
  • ICAM, TapRooT, Five Why's or equivalent incident investigation certification (desirable).
  • Proficiency in digital HSE management systems and reporting tools.
  • The ability and willingness to travel to support multi-site operations.
