Occupational Therapy Assistant PRN Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on an as-needed basis.

About the Role:

In this key position, you will collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists in providing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' ability to perform daily activities, improve mobility, and promote independence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist patients with customized therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and adaptive techniques to optimize daily living skills.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and assistive devices to ensure seamless recovery.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the Occupational Therapist to ensure quality care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with regulatory standards to guarantee compliance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to patient care and achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards in occupational therapy services to uphold the highest level of care.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program or equivalent qualification.
  • Licensure: Active and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Missouri or relevant jurisdiction.
  • Certification: NBCOT certification (preferred) for enhanced credentials.
  • Experience: Prior experience in rehabilitation or clinical settings preferred, but not essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills, with a passion for delivering excellent service.
  • Certifications: CPR certification (desired) for added proficiency.
