About the Opportunity

Gated Talent is a leading private credit investment firm specialising in structured real estate lending. We originate and manage senior debt, mezzanine, and preferred equity transactions across Australia's property development sector.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Melbourne-based team as an Associate Director. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment, structuring, and execution of real estate credit investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading or supporting the underwriting of investment opportunities, including advanced financial modelling and analysis
  • Preparing Investment Committee papers, Information Memorandums, and related deal documentation
  • Reviewing outputs from junior team members and supporting their development
  • Managing legal and credit processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring live deals and identifying issues proactively with a solutions-focused approach

Requirements

  • 5–10 years (+) experience in structured lending, investment, or valuations, ideally within real estate finance
  • Demonstrated experience across senior debt, mezzanine, or preferred equity transactions
  • Strong financial modelling and presentation skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to communicate confidently with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A tertiary qualification in Property, Finance, or a related field
