Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care to patients in the Special Care Nursery, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote patient recovery and well-being.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a level 4 Special Care Nursery, with a strong focus on neonatal care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Postgraduate qualifications in neonatal nursing or a related field (desirable).
