Civil Labourer and Pipe Layer Role

This position involves working on civil construction, repairs, and maintenance activities in the water & gas industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plumbing repairs & maintenance on Sydney Water & Jemena Gas assets
  • Pipe laying and civil laboring for Gas and water Infrastructure projects
  • Assisting or leading civil works & plumbing projects
  • Complying with onsite safety protocols
  • Emergency response and after hours planned works

To be successful in this role, candidates should have previous work experience in a similar field, particularly with Zinfra Gas network or Sydney Water assets. Proficiency in IT systems to use mobile devices and smart phone technologies is also essential.

We offer full time permanent positions, attractive rates, opportunities to work on long term water & gas contracts, and a supportive team environment.

Mandatory requirements include a White card, unrestricted driver's licence, and proficiency in IT systems. Desirable skills include pipe laying experience within a civil environment, plumbing experience, civil plumbing or repairs & maintenance experience on Sydney Water assets, and previous civil labouring experience.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work well under pressure. They should also be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
