Mainframe Security Specialist

This is a short-term consulting engagement based in Canberra with remote flexibility. As a seasoned IBM Z Security Mainframe Consultant, you will lead a four-week migration strategy review to support the review and planning of the migration strategy with a focus on mainframe security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the migration strategy to IBM Security software on Z.
- Provide expert-level consultation on IBM mainframe security architecture and controls.
- Advise on software migration best practices and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with client teams to assess current systems and define migration pathways.
- Deliver recommendations and documentation to support secure implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 20+ years of experience in IBM mainframe security and software migration.
- Deep technical expertise in IBM Z platform and security tooling.
- Proven track record in federal or highly regulated environments.
- Ability to lead strategic reviews and produce actionable deliverables.
