Occupational Health Physician Opportunity in North QLD

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to work with our team in the North QLD Region, providing a range of healthcare services to Defence Force members and their families.
As a civilian GP within our Health Centre, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing General Practice consultations, referrals, and health screenings
- Conducting occupational medical and health assessments for defence personnel to determine employability and deployability
- Offering medical advice to Base and Unit Commanders regarding the employability and deployability of individual members
- Providing guidance and support to Base and Unit Commanders on general medical issues such as injury prevention, preventive medicine, disease control, and hygiene
- Supervising Medical Officers in accordance with FRACGP guidelines
This is a unique opportunity for a GP looking to practice diverse and interesting medicine, or those with an interest in occupational health and sports medicine.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A personable and passionate approach to delivering healthcare outcomes for Defence Force members
You must also possess:
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a medical practitioner in Australia with AHPRA
- A Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM)
- Accreditation as a General Practice Trainer at Principal/Lead Supervisor level, or commitment to achieving this accreditation
This is an attractive opportunity for a skilled GP who wants to make a real difference in the lives of Defence Force members while working in a supportive and collegiate team.
Approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, plus benefits.
