Industrial Network Engineer
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced OT Support Engineer to join our Australia Pacific team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining industrial networks, ensuring they meet company standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Network Design: Design new OT networks for sites across AusPac in line with company standards and cybersecurity protocols.
- Infrastructure Deployment: Assist with the deployment and commissioning of new OT infrastructure, including travel to site as needed.
- Network Maintenance: Maintain and administer OT networks – manage patches, firmware, SCADA updates, and daily configurations.
- Disaster Recovery: Perform and verify network backups, and support disaster recovery operations.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot OT hardware, software, and operating system issues, and assist with hardware replacements.
- Network Performance: Monitor and optimize network performance, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate network documentation – including diagrams and site-specific configuration records.
- Audit and Compliance: Audit site networks for compliance, identity management, and operational integrity.
- Risk Management: Provide insights to management on operational risks and network-related threats impacting performance.
- Degree Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience with SCADA technologies and OT network infrastructure. Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, routing, VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls.
- Cybersecurity: Familiarity with OT cybersecurity practices and backup/disaster recovery procedures.
- Protocols: Exposure to industrial protocols like Modbus TCP, IEC 61850, or OPC is advantageous.
- Documentation and Design: Solid documentation and system design skills using common tools and platforms.
- Industry Experience: Experience in engineering, ICT, or utilities sectors preferred.
