About this role:

Ventia, in partnership with the Australian Defence Force, is seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join their team at Robertson Barracks. As a qualified Fitter Armourer, you will play a critical role in maintaining weapons systems and general engineering equipment.

In this position, you will utilize your expertise to inspect, repair, and recondition military hardware. Your attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a team will be essential in ensuring that equipment is functional and training objectives are met.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair military hardware and defence armaments
  • Safely operate machinery to manufacture or modify required parts
  • Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose

Requirements:

  • Trade Certificate III Engineering Mechanical (Fitter & Turner) or Certificate III Engineering Mechanic (General Fitter)
  • Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • MR or HR license desirable
  • Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on environment

Location: Robertson Barracks

Estimated salary: AU$100,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience
