Job Title

Autism Support Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Autism Support Specialist to join our team at Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect). The successful candidate will work collaboratively with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families/support network to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • To conduct assessments and develop individualised plans for individuals on the autism spectrum
  • To work collaboratively with individuals, their families/support network, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes
  • To provide training and education to staff and carers on supporting individuals with autism

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in speech pathology
  • Membership with the Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) or willingness to obtain
  • Current driver's licence, use of own vehicle for business purposes (reimbursed per km) and willingness to travel across your local community
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Working with Children Check for paid employment for the state you reside in
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' certificate
  • You may be required to provide an international police clearance
