Strategic Communications Leader

The position of Strategic Communications Leader brings to life our mission by connecting hearts and minds through powerful storytelling and purposeful cross-platform messaging. This role is responsible for executing communications across channels, aligned with our strategy that inspires action, builds trust, and deepens engagement with our supporters, partners, and team.

From heartfelt stories of impact to essential updates, this role ensures every message reflects our values and drives our mission forward. The role also acts as a point person for key media agencies, playing an important facilitation role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our mission and values.
  • Crafting compelling content across various formats and channels to engage and inspire our audience.
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including media agencies and external partners.
  • Providing guidance and support to the team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

This role requires exceptional planning, creative storytelling, and strong project management skills. The successful candidate will be a versatile communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage day-to-day content delivery.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or content strategy, with hands-on copywriting experience.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across formats and channels, and knowledge of how AI can support.
  • Understanding of the nuances of not-for-profit marketing and communication.
  • Strong organisation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Confidence using CMS, email platforms, and analytics tools.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • A team-first approach and passion for creating great supporter experiences.
