About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Facilities Management Professional to join our team at Metcash. As a key member of our Property Operations team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day facilities management matters across our portfolio of industrial, retail, and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination of facilities management activities, ensuring accurate tracking and timely completion of tasks.
  • Review leases to provide expert guidance to site teams on compliance and contractual obligations.
  • Close out facilities management matters efficiently, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption.
  • Analyze statutory responsibilities across jurisdictions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage multiple issues across the portfolio, prioritizing and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Develop and present reports to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Property Management team to provide facilities management expertise and support.
  • Contribute to the development and stabilization of our myBuildings platform, enhancing its functionality and user experience.
  • Support the achievement of Metcash's sustainability targets by implementing energy-efficient practices and reducing waste.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • You possess exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • You are driven to succeed, with a strong focus on closing out matters efficiently and effectively.
  • You excel in building relationships, communicating complex ideas, and developing trust with stakeholders.
  • You have strong technical knowledge, particularly in hard services, with experience working with contractors and monitoring performance.
  • You are analytical, with excellent reporting and tracking skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • You have solid experience implementing standardized maintenance programs, driving efficiency, and improving asset utilization.
