Nursing Support Unit – Central Allocations Team
Permanent - Part Time (minimum hours per fortnight)
Position Level: YP2 – YP9
Overview of the Role
We invite applications from qualified Registered Nurses to become part of our Nursing Support Unit (NSU). Our NSU team enjoys stable hours and utilizes an electronic scheduling system that indicates shift assignments. Candidates must possess recent experience in Acute care to be eligible for this role.
NSU personnel are expected to operate across various departments, including Acute, Sub-acute, and Aged Care Communities, to address staffing shortages and respond to unexpected high demand. Staff members will be required to work AM, PM, and Night Duty shifts as part of a 24/7 roster. Shift requests must be submitted through our electronic rostering platform for consideration.
The NSU offers the chance to experience diverse working environments across all departments while maintaining a permanent role.
To qualify for this position, applicants must reside in the designated region. We are currently unable to accommodate candidates requiring Visa Sponsorship.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and any relevant qualifications for consideration.
Referees will be required, including one from your current manager and another from a previous manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience
- At least 12 months of experience as a Registered Nurse with recent Acute care experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a valid Practicing Certificate
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
- Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills relevant to experience
