About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our multi-disciplinary disability services team at The Benevolent Society. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with our Senior Practitioners and other Allied Health Professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based client-centered services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, culturally appropriate assessments and interventions to individuals with disabilities who require language, literacy, voice, and specific eating, drinking, or total communication support.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and therapy plans to meet the unique needs of our diverse client base.
  • Deliver evidence-based services that meet the needs of clients according to their NDIS plans, within allocated hours.
  • Participate in support planning processes to ensure coordinated, effective service provision that meets client needs.
  • Liaise with relevant individuals in the client's environment, such as family members and carers, regarding eating, drinking, and other related matters.

Requirements
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current driver's license (cars provided).
  • Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals.
  • Honesty and integrity, with a genuine respect for all individuals regardless of their disability, culture, age, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Experience in applying evidence-based practice frameworks to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate clinical supports.
  • Ability to work in a flexible, person-centered, and strengths-based manner across diverse settings to meet client needs.
  • Willingness to contribute to and develop professional skills through our internal practice communities.
