Little Grove Primary School, a proud Independent Public School in Western Australia, seeks a skilled Gardener-Handyperson to maintain its school grounds.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep of turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, trees, and soft landscapes. They will also maintain hard landscaping features, such as courts and paving, mark sports areas, and conduct minor repairs in accordance with departmental policies.

\

In addition, the role involves ensuring gardening facilities, equipment, tools, and machinery are clean and serviceable, reporting faults promptly, and adhering to safe work practices.

Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation and the management of hazardous substances are integral aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the school's outdoor spaces, including turf areas, garden beds, and hard landscaping features.\
  • Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks in accordance with departmental policies.\
  • Ensure gardening facilities, equipment, tools, and machinery are clean and serviceable.\
  • Report faults promptly and adhere to safe work practices.\
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Corporate Services to develop safe work procedures and conduct risk assessments.\\-

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
