Your Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and supportive Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer to join our QLD Logistics team as an integral member of our Quarries and Cement division. Your primary responsibility will be planning and delivering training materials and activities to Boral employees and contractors. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity reporting to the Logistics Manager for SEQ Tippers and based at our Logistics Depot at Wacol in SEQ.

To support the geographic range of this position, you will need to have flexibility to travel to sites located across Metro and Regional Queensland. We will provide you with a Tool of Trade vehicle, phone, and laptop to support your work.

Your Day Will Involve:

  • Conducting Heavy Vehicle Driver inductions.
  • Undertaking verification of competency training and assessment.
  • Training and coaching of Heavy Vehicle Drivers including operating and safe work procedures, defensive and behavioural based driving techniques, and refresher training.
  • Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the driver training, assessment, and record-keeping process.
  • Driver behaviour reporting from our IVMS system and other reporting tasks as required.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Strong experience as a Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in the operation of a variety of heavy vehicles, including semis, truck and dogs, as well as B Doubles, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Minimum HC licence; MC license preferred.
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment or must be willing to obtain.
