The Registrar is a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the court registry. This position requires strong leadership and coaching skills to motivate staff, drive service delivery, and foster a cohesive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership and coaching to the registry team, promoting collaboration and accountability.
  • Stay focused on stakeholder needs, responding with empathy and trauma-awareness to deliver exceptional service.
  • Act as the point of escalation for colleagues to identify and manage risks related to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), including conducting thorough assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to administrative systems, maintaining data integrity and upholding established processes, policies, and procedures, as well as relevant legislation.
  • Support Registrars in optimizing daily operations, including coordinating court proceedings and delivering services efficiently.
  • Nurture professional relationships with key stakeholders to provide effective service delivery and support.
  • Implement transparent financial, human resource, data, and risk management practices to ensure accountability and efficiency.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing community awareness and understanding of the justice system, while achieving organizational objectives.
  • Fulfill statutory duties as a Justice of the Peace, Clerk of the Court, and Registrar, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and maintaining the integrity of court processes.
