We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled procurement professional to take on the role of Senior Project Buyer, focusing on Signaling and Infrastructure projects across the ANZ region. This position is based in our Perth CBD office and offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to thrive in a supportive and experienced team environment.

This role is a fixed-term position for two years, where you will contribute to one of Alstom's major signaling initiatives, collaborating closely with the project team and overseeing procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate negotiations and engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and updates.
  • Prepare and initiate Requests for Quotation with suppliers.
  • Lead project negotiations in accordance with Australian and UK standards.
  • Consolidate commodity requirements and inputs.
  • Actively participate in the development of commodity strategies and panels.
  • Support relationships with global supplier panels.
  • Manage specific supplier panel relationships, including negotiations and performance evaluations.
  • Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define procurement strategies and assist in make-or-buy decisions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar sourcing or procurement role.
  • Operational knowledge of rail components or design.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in the railway sector and/or turnkey projects within a comparable industrial environment.
  • A proven track record in managing maintenance projects.
