Supply Chain Vendor Manager

The Vendor Management Specialist plays a vital role in the vendor pre-qualification, due-diligence and general onboarding process for the procurement of goods and services. This role collaborates with various functions to evaluate vendor qualifications and support project objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors for procurement packages.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with Company policies.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and accurate order fulfilment.
- Analyse vendor ratings and prepare corrective plans in case of deviations.
Key Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Specialist degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications in Procurement, Vendor Management or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 7-10 years' experience in vendor management, including vendor strategy development and supplier relationship management.
- Procurement experience in the Australian civil construction industry, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
