About the Role:

This Lead Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist position involves managing a diverse caseload of workplace rehabilitation cases, working closely with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective return-to-work plans.

  • Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored plans for clients with various physical and psychological conditions, focusing on safe return to work and optimal health outcomes.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, employers, and stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and communicating effectively throughout the rehabilitation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs for employers and employees.
  • Work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in an Allied Health Discipline.
  • Full Professional Registration or Accreditation (AASW, ASORC, AHPRA, or ESSA).
  • Previous experience working in occupational rehabilitation, preferably in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • A current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
