Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn is seeking qualified and enthusiastic Casual Teachers to join our team. As a Casual Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students when their teacher is unavailable or a school requires additional staffing.
Key Responsibilities- Support a learning environment that stimulates learning, promotes excellence, and acknowledges the needs of students.
- Nominate your schools of preference and availability through our Casual Relief System.
- Be called upon on a needs basis by Catholic Schools within the Archdiocese of Canberra Goulburn.
- Schedule work around your ongoing study and personal commitments.
- Experience a diverse range of school environments and classroom settings.
- Build your profile within a network of schools to advance your opportunity of securing ongoing employment.
- Nominate the schools, year levels, and subjects you wish to teach (as aligned with your qualification).
- An understanding and commitment to the Church's mission in Catholic Education and the capacity to contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school.
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with colleagues and students.
- Classroom practices and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments for all students, including meeting a variety of learning needs.
- A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and/or NSW Curriculum with the ability to organise, select, and design content for effective teaching and learning.
- You must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident or be in Australia on a visa with work rights to be eligible to apply for this position.
- Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
