About the role
You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to shape ART's sustainable investing strategy.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Develop and implement strategies for financially material social-related risks and opportunities.
- Act as a subject matter expert on social issues during due diligence, transactions, and stewardship engagements.
- Identify emerging social themes and make recommendations for integration into ART's investment process.
- Conduct detailed research and analysis to support implementation of the sustainable investment strategy.
The role requires strategic thinking, a passion for sustainability, and strong foundation in investment research and social sustainability issues. You must thrive in collaborative environments and be confident presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Determining ways to mitigate socially related financial risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Serving as an expert on social issues throughout the investment process.
- Discovering emerging social trends and making recommendations for their integration into ART's investment process.
- Carrying out comprehensive research and analysis to support the implementation of the sustainable investment strategy.
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in finance, investments, commerce, or economics.
- Experience in the investment industry or a related domain.
- Strong research and analysis skills.
- The ability to engage stakeholders and negotiate outcomes that align with long-term goals and member interests.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in investment systems and analytics platforms.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
