The Role: Maintenance Coordinator
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, including general building maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of equipment and building assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, plant and machinery, light bulb changes, painting, plastering, and carpentry
- Communicate with contractors and understand the workings of all equipment
- Obtain written quotes for approval, where required
- Obtain all warranties and operations manuals for all plant equipment
- Establish systems and procedures to facilitate preventative maintenance programs, including selection of suppliers and support systems, meeting budget and standard requirements as set by management
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience within a role specific to maintenance
- Trade qualification will be highly regarded
- Previous experience working in a student accommodation, hotel environment is desired, but all experience will be considered
- Confident computer skills, including ability to use various systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- You will have a 'safety first' mindset, and an understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling
- Ability to work independently as part of a wider team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must hold a Class C Drivers Licence
- Willing to obtain a SA Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Willing to obtain a National Police Check
- Valid work rights in Australia
- Available to work Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work outside hours in emergency situations
