Job Title: Community Health Advocate

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families navigating resettlement. As a Community Health Advocate, you'll provide direct patient care, advocate for access to services, and collaborate cross-culturally to address health disparities and promote wellness.

The successful candidate will have experience in primary health care settings or as a Refugee Health Nurse, with a strong grasp of community health, human rights, and trauma-informed care principles. They will also have demonstrated understanding and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds, traumatic experiences, and unique health challenges.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • AHPRA Division 1 Registered Nurse, with full and unrestricted registration.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in primary health care settings or as a Refugee Health Nurse.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
