Career Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team in Warriewood, NSW.

As a key member of our roofing services, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

About the Role:
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to project specifications.
  • Construct and install roof framing, including trusses, rafters, and decking, to support copper and zinc roofing materials.
  • Install underlayment, insulation, and moisture barriers to prepare roofing surfaces.
  • Fabricate and install copper and zinc roofing panels, flashing, gutters, and downspouts.
  • Apply sealants, solder joints, and other weatherproofing techniques to ensure the integrity of the roofing system.
  • Collaborate with roofing team members, including installers and technicians, to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing copper and zinc roofing systems as needed.
  • Communicate with project managers and clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:
  • Construction White Card, and Working at Heights qualifications preferred;
  • Relevant qualification preferred;
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in proven experience in carpentry, roofing, or a related field;
  • Familiarity with copper and zinc roofing materials and installation techniques preferred;
  • Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment, including saws, drills, and nail guns;
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and roofing plans;
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship;
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions;
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills;
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Salary and Benefits: This role offers a competitive salary package ranging from $70,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
