Painting Craftsman

We are seeking an experienced Painting Craftsman to join our team at On Point Painting & Decorating Pty Ltd in Brisbane, QLD. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating and a minimum of 3 years of experience in painting/trade work.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes.

• Apply paint and other decorative finishes using a variety of techniques, including brush, roller, and spray application.

• Protect furniture, floors, and other items surrounding the area to be painted.

• Maintain a clean work area and ensure compliance with WH&S and site regulations.

• Conduct quality and safety inspections and complete record keeping forms.

• Read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.

• Discuss color pattern and finish options with customers.

• Paint interior and exterior surfaces of houses and other structures.

• Match paint samples for touch-ups and other small projects.

• Ensure jobs are completed on schedule, budget, and to a high standard.

Requirements:

1) Certificate III in Painting and Decorating

2) Minimum 3 years of experience in painting/trade work

3) 1 Year of commercial experience. Venetian plastering and wallpaper.
