About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne. As a key member of our Operating Room department, you will provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff in the Anaesthetics and PACU departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff in the Anaesthetics and PACU departments.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care are maintained at all times following SVPHM Policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the floor coordination and management of staff rostering, patient flow, and resource allocation.
  • Support the Nurse Unit Manager in operational management, including quality improvement initiatives and policy implementation.
  • Contribute to budget forecasting and financial management within the department.
  • Mentor and guide junior nursing staff to foster a collaborative and educational environment.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in perioperative nursing, preferably with experience in Anaesthetics and PACU. You will have a sound knowledge of ANZCA, ACORN & NSQHS standards and be currently registered with the Nurses & Midwifery Board as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

You will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also have the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
