General Counsel Position Available
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled General Counsel to work closely with senior leadership and external legal advisors in a part-time opportunity. This role offers the chance to operate at a high level in a private equity firm with flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:- Support fund and deal execution, compliance management under the firm's AFSL, drafting and reviewing investment agreements, NDAs, fund documentation and commercial agreements.
- Compliance committee involvement, portfolio company support, oversight of policy updates and external-facing documentation.
- Providing internal legal education, general in-house legal duties.
- 4+ years' post admission experience in general corporate/commercial law, a sound understanding of the Australian financial services regulatory environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and sound commercial judgment.
Experience in funds management or wholesale fund structures will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
