Occupational Therapist

At headspace, we are dedicated to providing vital support to young people and their families across Australia.
We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Occupational Therapist to join our team at Cranbourne West Secondary. As a key member of our headspace team, you will work with students to ensure they can successfully engage and participate in their education.
The successful applicant will possess highly effective collaboration skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders, including Child protection, tertiary services, Youth Justice, and other mental health community services.
This role involves identifying sensory processing and/or sensory modulation difficulties and creating class implementation plans for teachers to respond to. Other duties include teaching emotional regulation skills to students and facilitating social skills training and communication skills training (individual and groups).
To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration. You will also need sound knowledge of current theory and practice in occupational therapy, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
We offer a competitive remuneration package, including a salary range of $48.60 - $58.09 per hour, plus superannuation and generous salary packaging benefits of up to $18,550.
About the Role
- Part-time (0.6 FTE) ongoing position with flexible working days
- Co-located at Cranbourne West Secondary, forming part of the wider headspace team
