About the Role

VMCH seeks a Physiotherapy Specialist to join its multi-disciplinary team in the At-home Aged Care program. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start their career in Allied Health.

The successful candidate will work with clients in the Hume Region of Victoria, providing high-quality physio services, including assessment, goal-oriented treatment plans, home assessments, equipment prescription, and report writing.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centered physio services, focusing on wellness, reablement, and capacity building.
  • Conduct thorough functional assessments to identify suitable accommodation settings or complex home modifications for safe living environments.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies addressing needs related to daily living activities, fine motor skills, sensory processing, perceptual motor handling, and positive behavior support.
  • Deliver therapy supports in clients' preferred environments, including homes and specialist accommodations.
Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and/or Physiotherapy with current AHPRA registration.
  • Sound theoretical knowledge of complex conditions impacting people with disabilities, the aged, and their carers.
  • Experience in assessing, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic plans and services for the elderly.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently, including office-based or remote off-site locations.
  • A valid Victorian driver's license.
  • Evidence of up-to-date flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.
