Job Title: Family Contact Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Contact Support Worker to join our team. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care by facilitating safe family contact.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about working with families and making a positive impact on their lives. If you have a Diploma in Community Services or related field and strong written and verbal communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role:

We are based in Baulkham Hills and travel to carer homes and community locations as needed. The successful candidate will be required to transport and supervise family contact visits autonomously, write clear reports, support care plans with Case Managers, and identify and report child protection concerns.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you can expect a competitive hourly rate of $43-$44 per hour, salary packaging up to $15,900 tax-free, including an extra meal and entertainment benefit, and opportunities for career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Transport and supervise family contact visits autonomously
  2. Write clear, detailed reports soon after each visit
  3. Support care plans with Case Managers
  4. Identify and report child protection concerns
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Community Services (or related field) preferred but not required
  • Valid Driver's Licence, WWCC, First Aid & NDIS clearance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to manage conflict and work with diverse families
  • Understanding of child safety and car restraint laws
  • Must be available for a range of shifts
