The Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation is the lead geospatial and imagery intelligence organisation in Defence, providing critical support to Australia's Defence and National Intelligence Community.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the evolution of geospatial data production, management, and dissemination across Defence and the national community. As a Geospatial Manager, you will develop innovative solutions that enable the delivery of critical missions essential to Defence operations and the Australian Government.
Located in Bendigo, this role is a critical enabler of Defence and the NIC; providing highly accurate data, products, and services that underpin Defence capability and high-level decision-making.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong Communication Skills: Engaging effectively with senior stakeholders, both internal and external to Defence.
- Strategic Planning: Developing and aligning plans to enable the implementation of production activities that are ambitious and achievable.
- Business Process Improvement: Motivating to evolve and modernise business processes and leading a team on this journey.
- Team Empowerment: Creating a workforce culture that is ambitious, customer-driven, and outcomes-focused.
- Representation and Promotion: Representing and promoting AGO at Defence, national, and international forums by seeking out, initiating, and nurturing stakeholder engagement and relationships.
