The Australian Public Service (APS) is seeking a highly skilled ICT Service Officer to join its Defence team. This role is part of the Service Management Branch (SMB) in Cyber Operations Division (COD), responsible for promoting and managing the integration of ICT services for the Defence community.

About the Role

This position involves supporting the Defence's ICT Service Centre (ICTSC) by administering and maintaining the ICT Service Catalogue items using relevant tools and technologies. The successful candidate will be required to liaise with supervisors, staff, and stakeholders and respond to complex enquiries. Additionally, they will advocate for customers, facilitate software and hardware renewals, and provide advice on approved ICT Assistive Technology within the Defence Environment.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the ICT Service Centre by ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in the ICT Service Catalogue.">
  • Liaising with various stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless delivery of ICT services.">
  • Providing expert advice on ICT Assistive Technology and facilitating software and hardware renewals to meet customer needs.">
  • Conducting research to identify opportunities for improvement in service levels and implementing initiatives to enhance overall performance.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts and stakeholders. You must have a strong attention to detail, an open-minded approach, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of ICT infrastructure, applications, and services, as well as some knowledge of ICT service management frameworks such as ITIL.

The APS offers a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary range of $76,277 - $83,274 + up to 15.4% Superannuation.
