Anaesthetics Specialist

Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a full-time, permanent Anaesthetist at a major hospital in central Queensland. The hospital is a state-of-the-art facility, equipped with leading-edge technology to assist in providing the highest level of care to patients.
About the Role:
The Anaesthetist will be responsible for providing anaesthesia services for a range of procedures, including orthopaedic, trauma, general, gynaecological, obstetric, paediatric, ENT, dental, ECT, and endoscopic procedures. The department is an accredited training facility, and the successful candidate will be required to supervise junior medical officers and registrars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality anaesthesia services to patients
- Supervise junior medical officers and registrars
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other healthcare professionals
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Hold the FANZCA or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics that meet ANZCA requirements for practising in this position
- NZ FANZCA or
- IMG with training assessed by ANZCA and a substantially comparable outcome
