Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for managing and evolving our technology risk responsibilities by embedding our Technology Governance and Management Framework and Data Governance Framework into business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement risk metrics for risk appetite monitoring and prepare appropriate risk reporting.
- Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and coaching to the Technology team on incident management, risk and control assessment, data governance, and business risk reporting.
- Support the technology team in ensuring that IT systems, processes, and practices comply with relevant policies, standards, frameworks, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and coordinate regular assessments to identify and uplift compliance practices as well as coordinate internal/external audit requirements.
About You
We are looking for an experienced risk and governance professional who has a passion for technology and a strong understanding of operational risk management, including process mapping, controls, and risks associated with data governance, security, and technology.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in an audit, compliance, or risk team or similar first-line role.
- Experience dealing with regulator requests within the financial services industry.
- Experience in the development and maintenance of effective risk management practices.
- Essential knowledge includes understanding of technology operational processes, the regulatory environment, and operational risk management.
