We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Trainee Financial Counsellor. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in financial counselling and develop skills in holistic assessment and case management.

As a Trainee Financial Counsellor, you will provide basic financial counselling services to individuals and communities. You will also have the opportunity to study for the Diploma in Financial Counselling while gaining hands-on experience.

About the Role
  • Deliver high-quality financial counselling services to clients, providing expert advice and guidance to help them manage their finances.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for success.
  • Work independently, managing your own caseload and reporting statistical data to support service development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver community education programs on financial literacy and capability, empowering individuals to take control of their financial futures.
  • Manage your own caseload, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to ensure excellent service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Community Services - Financial Counselling or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of financial issues and legislation.
  • Accreditation as a Financial Counsellor (FCAN) or willingness to attain accreditation soon.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
