Position Overview

The Employment Solutions Specialist plays a crucial role in executing strategic business development initiatives aimed at engaging and securing employment opportunities for job seekers within designated regions and programs. The primary objective is to maintain a steady stream of employment prospects that ideally lead to sustainable job placements for individuals seeking work.

This role involves proactive engagement with employers to advocate for the SSI brand and its services, offering tailored employment solutions and establishing a robust pipeline of job opportunities that align with the readiness of job seekers. Collaboration with the broader Employment Services teams is essential to ensure effective communication of available employment opportunities and vacancies to team leaders, consultants, facilitators, and job seekers, facilitating successful placements within appropriate timeframes.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Possession of a Certificate IV or higher in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, or a willingness to pursue such qualifications.
  • Solid understanding of local, state, and national labor markets.
  • Established connections with employers, industry stakeholders, and community organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability in business development, sales, or marketing, complemented by exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasive skills.
  • Strong account management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Commitment to ethics, accountability, and integrity.
  • Experience in the Employment Services sector and familiarity with the challenges faced by long-term unemployed job seekers is advantageous.
  • Background in recruitment, sales, or marketing is also beneficial.
