About the Role
A Medical Receptionist Trainee is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our medical clinics.
This entry-level role offers opportunities for growth and development, with supervision from experienced health professionals.
As a Medical Receptionist Trainee, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth patient flow, using effective time management and communication skills to provide a positive experience for our patients.
Duties
- Provide a warm and welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors.
- Manage phone calls and messages in accordance with our ATSICHS Triage process.
- Book appointments using our MMex system.
- Maintain specialist calendars and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times when handling patient information.

Requirements
- Must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person in accordance with s25 of the Anti-discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
- Willingness and ability to undertake a Certificate III in Business Administration.
- Ability to work independently, under guidance or direction, and within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Previous experience working with culturally diverse people.
- Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications.
- Current and valid National Police Check.
