We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pathology Collector to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting patient samples and providing quality care to our patients.
Your primary focus will be on building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and patients, while ensuring the highest level of service delivery. With your exceptional communication skills and empathy, you will make a positive impact on our patients' lives.
About the Role
- You will be working in a hospital setting, liaising with doctors, nurses, and patients to understand their needs and requirements.
- You will be responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples across different wards and areas.
- You will maintain accurate records for every patient and sample.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise and build effective relationships with stakeholders within the hospital.
- Collect advanced pathology samples with care and attention.
- Keep meticulous records for every patient and sample.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in phlebotomy or a nursing background.
- Excellent liaison and communication skills, with a high level of empathy and a patient-centered approach.
- You will be organized, with high attention to detail.
- You hold a working with children's check or be willing to obtain one.
- You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with permission to work.
- Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is a requirement of this role.
