Job Summary:
Whizdom Recruitment is assisting a valued client to fill a critical position for an ICT Security Engineer in a dynamic environment. The ICT Security Engineer plays a pivotal role in the analysis and development of the integration, testing, operations, and maintenance of systems security.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough analysis and reporting on system security posture to ensure optimal security measures are in place.
- Validating security controls to ensure they are effective and aligned with industry standards.
- Performing security assessments to identify gaps in security architecture and recommending modifications or adjustments based on assessment results.
- Assessing access controls based on principles of least privilege to ensure secure and efficient system operations.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in security system design tools, methods, and techniques to ensure robust security measures.
- Experience in installation, integration, and optimization of system components to ensure seamless system operations.
- Strong understanding of cyber security and privacy principles and organizational requirements, including confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
- Ability to design countermeasures for identified security risks to mitigate potential threats.
- Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities to ensure proactive security measures.
- Ability to assess security controls based on cyber security principles and tenets, including ISM, CIS CSC, NIST SP 800-53, and NIST Cyber Security Framework.
- Understanding of how a security system should work, including its resilience and dependability capabilities, and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect these outcomes.
- Ability to recognize and prioritize vulnerabilities in ICT systems, including vulnerability and compliance scanning.
Requirements:
- Current NV1 clearance
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks, including ID and work rights verification, security clearance verification, and other client-requested checks
